Time Frame

The time frame for the Bright Ideas program has been extended to increase the time teachers have to apply for grants and to encourage creative, out-of-the-box ideas:

April 1, 2011: North Carolina’s electric cooperatives will begin accepting applications. Many cooperatives ONLY accept applications completed on this website.

August 15, 2011: Early-bird deadline. Submit your application on or before this date and be entered to win a $500 Visa gift card.

September 23, 2011: Application deadline. This deadline may vary by cooperative. To find your sponsoring cooperatives' deadline, search for your school here.
